Massive Moon

Massive moon
I sweep and swoon
I cling and claw
For you
I creep and cry
Through sleep or sigh
For an opened eye
Anew

From full to faint
To flash of paint
You bend my brain
The same
You shrink and grow
Like winter’s snow
But you always know
My name

Strong and strange
You churn and change
Like a mountain’s range
Or truth
So I try to trace
Your nightly grace
And find my face
In you

But the stubborn sting
Of my reaching ring
Won’t mend or mean
Or slight
For each time I try
To know the night
I cling and climb
For light

You mirror I think
It’s clearer to sink
Than fly to a home
With you
Because here on Earth
It’s clear my birth
Through love,
Can be luminous too

Stranger

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Balthazar.  His favorite color was brown. He would say that his favorite color is brown because he was once a tree in a past life. And I believe him.

His aura radiated thicker than a sunbeam. And his palms had deep lines, like the circles of an ancient tree.  He was much older than you would think. He had once flown high with pterodactyls.

His thoughts were leaves.

And his hands reached out like branches.

One day, the sun crept behind his favorite mountain.  The shadow left behind was cold and dark.  But his eyes were open and pointed up to the starry night.

In the darkness, crept an old and powerful spirit, who had intentions unknown to Balthazar.  But his presence was familiar.  And the boy could sense his energy.

The crisp night air was drawn in by Balthazar’s strong breath.  The soft light of the moon bounced off his pale face.  It shined down like a spotlight.  And Balthazar appreciated his place in the night.

The spirit hung low beneath the branches of the oldest of trees.  It waited for the opportune moment.

Balthazar’s gaze shifted from the hills onto the tree.  He could sense a visitor.  Cautiously, the boy put one foot in front of the other.

The spirit loomed, welcoming the boy’s approach.

As Balthazar advanced, the spirit blew a soft wind.  The boy felt the wind grace his skin, and closed his eyes to concentrate on the sensation.  The air was cold, but clean.

Above, a full moon smiled, and the stars formed a calm, patient audience.

The spirit swiftly descended to the boy’s humanly level.

As the moon’s spotlight projected onto the Earthly stage, the spirit’s light glimmered.

Suddenly, the boy caught his first glimpse of the stranger.

The boy stopped in his tracks, and called out into the darkness.

“Hello, visitor. I know you are there.”

There was no response.  All Balthazar could hear was the soft whisper of the old tree’s leaves.

“Newcomer, your silence does not fool me. I know you are there. Please reveal your true self.”

Again, there was no answer.  With open eyes, the boy continued his approach.  Another gust of wind stroked his skin.

“Please, I mean you no harm.  I come with peace.”

Suddenly, a magnificent wave of light rushed over the hillside.

The old tree’s branches swayed backwards, and a blurry figure emerged.

A ghostly voice broke the silence. “Hello… again…”

“’Again?’ Do I know you?”

A short pause was interrupted by a distant wolf’s howl in the night.

“You do, my boy.  We have shared more experiences than you can remember in this lifetime.”

Balthazar remained hesitant, but felt strangely comfortable in the presence of the spirit.

“Father?”

godspeed

hello future inhabitants of this planet.
first i must apologize on behalf of my species.
we sort of got carried away.
this is not an excuse however.
i am fully aware of the severity of our destruction.
there is no excuse for such crimes.
however, on the bright side,
we are all gone, and there is a new and perfect opportunity
for better things to happen on this beautiful landmass
there are so many interstellar connections yet to be made
we never even found life outside of our tiny solar system
but i knew, i knew, i knew about you
i read about Nibiru and the Watchers,
i am aware of the messages that were left here for us.
i know about the pyramids, and the ancient Sumerian texts
it is just so hard to convince others about the possibility
that we are not the only ones
not the chosen ones
i mean, the only choosing ever to be done was here on our planet
on our part
like the choice to live peacefully
and make the best of our earthly, earthly, earthly situation
to choose to live in peace with the universe
and be aware of the temporary nature of all the energy that we borrow
it is only ours such a brief, brief amount of time
if ever even ours.

if ever even ours.

i hope that you will make the right choices.
the ones that we all failed to make.

godspeed.

Dreams must be evolutionarily adaptive

Dear G_____,

BEEEEOOOSHHH!!!!!

Cloud of blue smoke dissipate to reveal a little Tree River at your third eye’s front door… Hello sweet G____! :)

(deep breath…. **FFFFFFFFFFFSHHHH(in)-FFFFFFFSHUHHHHHHH(out)**….) »»>

…The backdrop was Lake Cachuma, orange sunset.  My mind was as fresh as the evening air, gliding from the cool lake into my face.  I was high, of course, but not too high, because feelings were sharp. Colors of grey mist bled and blended in with the juicy sky sun smile »blllblblblbllbllbl** into the green trees. ^^^

I looked up from the barbecue, manned by Mr. M_____ (yes him), to see a quick shot of the back of …you.  Oh hello Miss G____, how fitting to see you here!  It felt natural that you were wandering off into the forest.  Your clothes were fluttering behind you in the wind like flags on a ship.  Either you had seen something that attracted you into the trees, or you were determined to discover something that would.

I looked back at M_____ fumbling with lighter fluid, muttering to himself in the cold, and then looked back at you, a much smaller image now, just beyond a big field in front of the trees which you had just entered.  I could have stayed, but something compelled me to get up.

***SHEEEEOOOOOUUUUFFF!!!!*** I got up and started running to chase you, like something was calling me out there. I wasn’t sure if I would actually find you but I had to try.  While I ran through the field, all the colors around me blurred together, like they had turned into wet paint on a canvass that was being spun in the air.  The field was filled with yellow and brown, the trees were faded green and blue, and the sky was turning more and more purple as the sun set.

I SPLASHEDDDDD into the tree realm, and continued running until all the color had faded into a greenish gray.  It was darker but my vision was still present enough to see you huddled down in the dirt, inspecting something you had just found at your feet.  I approached you with caution.  Before I got to you, I was about to call your name to let you know that I had followed you, but before the words could come out, you turned directly around to look at me.

You seemed to have expected me. HUMMMMMMM You waved me over. I finally reached you, crouched down next to you, entering your intimate space.  I looked at your hands extended down to the ground.

On the ground, just in front of your huddled body, you had found a small baby bird, with black and dark red feathers.  Its eyes were closed, as if dead, but there was no apparent trauma or blood.  It lay perfectly still on the ground.  You were close to it, but weren’t actually touching the animal.  I felt sad and really dark by the discovery.  I didn’t know what to do, but when I looked at your face, you were calm and smiling, like a Bodhisattva.  I was confused. You seemed to know something I didn’t.  Right as I opened my mouth to speak, you whispered one word to me, “Look.”

I looked down at the animal, as it suddenly started moving slowly.  It shook once, twice, then opened its eyes, to look RIGHT up into mine. SSSSHINGG!!  It noticed what we were, and was instantly shaken up.  The bird rolled onto its feet, wiggled its feathers, and in a quick flash, streamed off into the air, up through the trees and into the purple sky.

We both gasped, and started giggling with amazement. “See? It’s all going to be alright!” You hugged me, kissed my head through my tangled hair, and then, together, we walked back to the others.  When we exited the forest, the sky above the field was darker, as if much time had passed during our short, private experience. Crickets filled the night with vibrations. CHEHEECHHCHCHCHCHHCHCHCHEECHEE from all sides.

Across the field, we could see that M___ had built a bright fire.  I stopped walking for a second, letting you proceed ahead of me.  I looked out across the dark lake, up into the sky, closed my eyes… and then FLASHHHH!!

…I opened my eyes to reveal my awakening from what I now realized was a dream.  I entered my reality realm bedroom alone, whole, and ready to write this letter to you. »»»>
